Day 1
Arrival to Khartoum airport, meet and assistance and transfer to your hotel
Day 2
After breakfast visit to (Arabic market) then drive through the Nile road near the blue Nile to visit the national Museum. In the afternoon visit to Omdurman the national capital, visit to the old city and the Souk and visit to Khalifa’s house and the Tomb of EL Mahdi
Day 3
Khartoum – drive with special well equipped land cruisers 4wd through the Lyibyan Desert through Debba to Dongola overnight in tents in safari camp with our cooking equipments.
Day 4
Dongola – Kerma – Kawa drive at morning from Dongla to Kerma and after crossing the Nile in between 3rd and 4th cataract and drive to visit the Temple of Kawa
Day 5
Kawa – Jebel (mt.) Barkal – Kurru: after looking at the remains of the former Mighty temples of Kawa we will drive through the Nubian Desert south-east wards to Jebel Barkal , a monolithical remnant of the weather beaten Nubian Sandstone plateau. In the Afternoon we will drive through the Mahila – Desert to the Necropolis of El-Kurru with the oldest tombs of the Kings of the Naptas.
Day 6
Meroe – Nuri – Dair el-Ghazali: in the morning sightseeing in Meroe, the city with of Napta. In the afternoon excursion through Bayuda –Desert to Dair el-Ghazali, the most southern early Christian church of the Nile Valley.
Day 7
Bayuda Desert – Shendi: Across Bayuda Desert in between the 4th and5th cataract on the south side of the Nile we will be driving eastwards to Atbara and back to the Nile Valley and afterwards, we will drive to Shendi.
Day 8
Meroe – Meroe was the most important city for trade between the Mediterranean Sea and Central Africa. 38 Pyramids were built eastwards of the city. We will also have a look to the Chapel of Victims and the Sun Temple.
Day 9
Shendi – Mussawarat As-Sufra – Naqaa – Khartoum: Drive to Mussawarat es-Sufra where we will see temples built in the shape of an amphitheatre. We drive on to Naqaa where we find sanctuaries and palaces, back to Khartoum.
Day 10
Visit the Camel market in Omdurman – Khartoum – Europe: Omdurman is the only part of Khartoum which was built Islamic tradition. The interesting Camel Market takes place every Saturday morning – afternoon free time for shopping – transfer to Khartoum airport for the flight to your home country.
